The Hamex® Full Automatic hammer mill runs at a lower speed than the Hamex® hammer mill, namely a maximum of 1800 rpm. However, the tip speed of the hammers has remained the same, so you can achieve a comparable grinding with lower energy consumption. Thanks to the robust design and the relatively low speed, there is also a minimal noise level. Pleasant for the operator and good for reliability.

The fully automatic screen changing system allows you to change screens while the rotor is still running, without operator intervention. This results in a time saving of 10 minutes per screen change! Furthermore, the Hamex® Full Automatic is also equipped with large inspection hatches that provide quick and easy access for inspection, cleaning and maintenance of the relevant parts.

The Hamex® Semi Automatic hammer mill can be equipped with frequency control, with which the rotor speed can be precisely adjusted to the desired end result. With this you can easily switch between fine grinding or a coarse grinding structure. Another option is a specially developed airflow system, with which the passage of particles with the correct fineness is controlled quickly and efficiently. This increases the capacity and saves on energy consumption. In addition, the machine can be equipped with a stone trap and magnet that separate iron particles and hard objects from the product to be treated. This helps prevent contamination of the product and damage to the screens.

Hamex® hammer mills have been used successfully for decades by manufacturers in various sectors. It is a reliable solution for grinding soft to medium-hard products, such as grains, sugars and minerals with finenesses from 150 microns to approximately 3 mm. All Hamex® hammer mills are designed as follows, for efficiency and reliability:

How does it work?

See how cleverly placed hammers grind the product

Free-hanging percussion hammers swing around at high speed in the hammer mill. The resulting centrifugal force crushes the grinding material against the special breaking plates in the inside of the grinding chamber. The ground product then leaves the hammer mill through the exchangeable screen. Depending on the properties of the product to be ground, single hammers, double hammers or T-hammers are used.

Fully automatic screen change

More efficient, safer and more secure grinding process

Normally, the hammer mill rotor has to come to a stop before the screens can be changed, which can take a long time. This can take a lot of time, especially if you want to change the sieve regularly. To ensure that manufacturers do not have to wait for this, Dinnissen has developed a fully automatic screen change system. With the Hamex® Full Automatic hammer mill, the sieve in its sieve holder is automatically driven out of the machine, after which the operator can quickly exchange or inspect the sieve manually. During this operation, the rotor can continue to rotate, which saves you approximately ten minutes of production time per screen change. That is the time it normally takes for the rotor to come to a standstill. A considerable time saving if you want to change products regularly.

During the exchange, the sieve in its sieve holder is driven out of the machine fully automatically, while the rotor continues to rotate and the housing remains closed. As a result, the hammer mill is only out of use for a short time and the safety of the operator is guaranteed. After that, the sieve is changed completely automatically, with a choice of 8 sieve positions and 4 different perforation sizes.
