Modular build

Depending on the product and the production process, several options can be added to the base of the Big Bag Filling Station. When processing very light products such as silicas or expanded perlite, vibration can stabilize the Big Bag and compact the product (this allows more kilos in one Big Bag). Different types of vibrations can be used and for unstable Big Bags, various testing possibilities are available. Furthermore, Dinnissen develops systems with a hygienic design. This includes minimal horizontal surface area, open profiles, components that are accessible for cleaning, choice of materials, and finishing.

For low capacities, Big Bags can be hung from static hooks. To be able to process a higher number of Big Bags per hour while keeping ergonomics in mind, automatic moving hooks are optional. The hook suspension points are moved towards the operator so he or she is able to hang the Big Bags on the suspension hooks without having to lean forward. After filling, the hooks automatically release the Big Bags.

If desired, a Big Bag ventilation system can also be chosen, in which the Big Bag is connected dust-free to an inflatable cuff and automatically unfolded and blown into shape before filling. With a venting system, the Big Bag can be vented with negative pressure after the filling process to avoid dust formation. Big Bags with flammable substances can be vacuumed, after which nitrogen is injected so the product can be stored atmospherically, in a protected environment. Another option is sealing the Big Bag.

When working with different-sized Big Bags, height adjustment can be added to the system. This can be done with an industrial design, as well as a hygienic solution for high-care environments (without hydraulics/hydraulic oil). Big Bags can be discharged with a forklift, roller conveyor, or hygienic belt. We provide low to high-capacity filling systems, that can process up to 45 tons per hour.

Key features, options, and models

The Big Bag Filling Station is also available in an ATEX version, or as a mobile unit for use underneath a silo park. To prevent dust from being released during filling, a screen can be installed at the inlet. The Filling Station can also be expanded with an automatic pallet-infeed. Especially for producers of baby milk powder, a Big Bag Filling Station has been developed for hygienic filling of Big Bags in cleanrooms. This High-care Big Bag Filling Station makes it possible to fill, seal, move, and empty Big Bags in an ultra-hygienic way.

How it works

For safety reasons, the Big Bag suspension loops are fixed in a solid frame, in which the Big Bag suspension hooks can be automated for enhanced ergonomics. The inlet of the Big Bag is connected to the filling tube through an inflatable cuff, which is provided with a venting connection. During filling, the Big Bag can be additionally stabilized using vibration. The filled Big Bags are then loaded manually or automatically.

High-quality technology for maximum hygiene and ergonomics

The design of the High-Care Big Bag Filling System has been fully optimized to ensure optimal hygiene. As a result, there are no hollow parts or plate-on-plate attachments in parts where the product is processed. In addition, horizontal surfaces have been reduced to minimize possible product accumulation. Furthermore, the complete machine design has been optimized for maximum accessibility and cleanability of all components. Therefore, the number of bolted connections has been minimized.

  • The design allows calibrated and ergonomic filling of Big Bags
  • Optimal compaction of Big Bags for an ergonomic process
  • In line with all EHEDG, ATEX, HACCP and GMP regulations
  • High-strength Big Bags without gas inclusions
  • Designed, built, and tested in-house

Key features, options, and models

Depending on the application, special EHEDG bolts are used. To extend the durability of the processed product, the filling station can also be equipped with nitrogen gas fumigation and an automatic sealing unit. Dinnissen also offers the option of combining high-care filling with low-care palletizing. This solution meets all requirements for high-care, medium-care and low-care filling, processing, sealing and transport of Big Bags.

How it works

During start-up, the Big Bag is blown into shape by a blow-in system. For safety, the Big Bag hanging loops are fixed in a solid frame of open stainless-steel profiles. During the filling process, the hanging Big Bags are transported fully automatically to prevent floor contact as well as other contamination. Afterwards, with the help of the disinfection module, any dust and dirt are carefully removed to be able to completely exclude contamination. Here the filling hose is secured with a special inflatable cuff, ensuring that dust and other contamination are unable to enter the Big Bag.

How it works

The Bag-in-Box Filling Machine vibrates sealed bags until they are flat, after which they are transported to a hopper by a conveyor belt. After this, the bags are automatically placed in boxes. If desired, the boxes are labeled fully automatically. With this Bag-in-Box solution, producers can compactly pack up to 60 bags per hour.

High care big bags filling

Further automation of any process

The Bag-in-Box Filling System works with smaller bags than Big Bags, for example bags of 25 kilograms. For the lower capacities we have a manual system, which is characterized by a minimized number of components. The operator attaches the bag to an inflatable cuff, after which the bag can be filled and sealed or stitched. In the automatic version, the bag is automatically placed in a box, filled, and discharged. This saves on production steps and in one simple action you have already placed the bag in the box. Bags and Big Bags (FIBC) could already be filled and sealed automatically, but this solution makes it possible to also pack them in boxes as compact as possible.

Modular system

The great advantage of a Drum and Container Filling System from Dinnissen is our customization. We identify the needs and requirements and create a system based on them. Filling can be done with an easy-to-operate filling adapter and the process around it can be arranged as desired. For the transport of large containers, for example, a forklift truck can be used, while for smaller barrels a roller conveyor is often used. If working with different size drums and containers, an adjustable height can be added to the process. This can be done with an industrial design, but also with a hygienic solution for high-care environments (without hydraulics/hydraulic oil).

  • Easy to use
  • A tailor-made solution
  • Suitable for different sizes of drums/containers
  • Height adjustment possible
  • Various possibilities for hygienic design

Key features, options, and models

The robust Dinnissen Filling Station is custom-made: it is built entirely in modular form. This makes it possible to tailor the system completely to use and requirements. The basis of the filling station consists of an innovative, easy-to-operate filling adapter with an inflatable cuff, which seals the drum or container dust-tight. Optionally, Dinnissen also offers a space and cost-saving hybrid version, which makes it possible to fill various containers with one station with high flexibility. The station can also be equipped with a rotating table, to be able to fill multiple drums with minimal operator handling. This turntable has room for a pallet and several drums. In doing so, the unit uses a specially designed suction cup to ensure that the drums are positioned exactly in relation to the filling adapter.

Furthermore, the filling station is optionally available with the Dinnissen Easy-to-clean Feeder Valve. This valve makes it possible to dose products very accurately to the filling station or packaging unit. Finally, the unit can be expanded with a very accurate weighing system and a variant for High-Care zones in the food industry, for example.
